If you are looking for innovative and stylish Christmas presents, you can cater for a number of recipients courtesy of SCP London, a leading design manufacturer and retailer that was established in 1985 by Sheridan Coakley. SCP has two stores: SCP East in Shoreditch (its original site) and SCP West in Westbourne Grove, which opened in 2007.
Offering a wide range of modern furniture that incorporates classic design, SCP encapsulates TFW’s design ideals; the combination of beautiful, functional design that is made to last. That said, SCP doesn’t just offer large, expensive pieces of furniture. By drawing on the skills of a number of talented designers SCP provides a wide, yet cohesive, product range across a broad price spectrum, making it an ideal stop on the search for unusual and thoughtful gifts. If you are not in the vicinity of either of SCP’s shops then there is a good range of products to purchase online here.
TFW recent purchases include the quirky Nanoblocks, developed in Tokyo and perfect to keep smaller Christmas guests entertained and, at £9.50, perhaps a few grown-ups too. Also for younger donees is the Bear Face Mirror, which is well priced at £19.99. Other items purchased on our last visit include the Pop-Up Christmas Cards (£5.20) (although there is a large range of standard cards to purchase as well) and the Chemex Glass Coffee Maker at £57 (all available online).
